FCMA-SLIP REGULATOR (ASR)

FCMA-ASR (Automatic Slip Regulator) is engineered for Slip Ring Induction Motors. Utilizing frequency-dependent resistance technology, it delivers smooth, stepless motor starting without liquid or moving electrodes, along with dynamic slip regulation to handle heavy kick loads.

  • System Design: FCMA-ASR (Automatic Slip Regulator) specifically tailored for Slip Ring Induction Motors.
  • Stepless Acceleration: Smooth and stepless motor starting without liquid or mechanical electrode movement.
  • Dynamic Slip Regulation: Provides dynamic slip regulation from 3% to 15% during running to handle severe kick loads.
  • Advanced Technology: Utilizes frequency-dependent resistance technology for fully automatic resistance control.
  • Starting Performance: Delivers high starting torque combined with low starting current.
  • Torque Optimization: Automatically reduces rotor resistance as motor speed increases for constant torque acceleration.
  • Compatibility: Suitable for a wide range of HT/LT Slip Ring Motors across various voltage ratings and motor capacities.
  • Winding Options: Resistance winding choices available in Copper, MS (Mild Steel), and Stainless Steel (SS).
  • Reliability: Built with a robust, reliable, and low-maintenance industrial design.
  • Cane Fibrizor: Optimized for heavy-duty sugar mill cane fibrizor drives.
  • Cane Leveller: Delivers consistent torque control for cane leveller applications.
  • Cane Chopper: Smooth handling of variable shock loads in cane chopper systems.
  • Head on Cutter: Designed to withstand sudden impact and heavy mechanical load fluctuations.
  • Cane Kicker: Handles severe kick loads reliably to prevent motor tripping.

Operating Principle

FCMA–SR (Slip Regulator) operates on a frequency-dependent resistance principle that automatically controls rotor resistance according to motor speed. At starting, it provides low starting current with high and constant starting torque.

As the motor accelerates, the resistance decreases smoothly and continuously, allowing jerk-free acceleration from standstill to rated speed. During normal running, FCMA–SR maintains 3–15% dynamic slip to absorb kick loads and prevent unnecessary motor tripping. It also helps achieve 10–12% energy savings compared with conventional fixed buffer systems.
